Let's face it though, if you are going to learn to play Blake's stuff, I mean really play it, you are going to have to go to the original stuff.  Ari is about the best as far as reproducing his sound, but to even come close to getting the sound right, you have to have some pretty awesome technique to begin with, and let's face it, it just takes a lot of time.

How does it compare to Woody Mann's dvd of Blind Blake??

Woody's is great as well.  Blind Blake is just a study to get down right.  Easy to do it half right.  That being said, I sure like Ry Cooder's take ie. Ditty Wah Ditty on Blind Blake.   If I could be Blake or Ry, I'd have to say I'd be Ry.
