We knows nothing much about the blues... we called it blues, we called it breakdowns, we called it blues and some people say it's square dances... We didn't know what it was; the achin'-hearted blues is slow, breakdowns is fast - Percy Thomas, who played in the Son Simms Four with Muddy Waters, interviewed by Paul Oliver, from Blues Off The Record
Well, I balanced the check book and I just can't afford it. I have to give "moments in time" credit for the most outrageous mark up ever on a vintage Gibson. The cheap power-point presentation style of the web page and total lack of any real documentation is enough to convince me that it's a fraud. Where is the "estate" of Mr. Johnson on this and where is that Steve Levearn(?) guy that was representing the R.J. estate a few years back when R.J. was inducted into the rock-n-roll hall of fame and the "hellhound on my trail" video was made to document the induction. I've been waiting for someone of real authority to weigh in on this matter. Even more entertaining would be if some famous rock star bought the thing or maybe some crazy investors. I hope the guitar would then get played by someone. Seems a shame to let it sit in some safety deposit vault. It might be a real nice player.
