Ian Zack just came over and copied all of the Rev. Davis welfare files from 1933-1944 plus other material. Plus he has the long, long interview that Alan Lomax's first wife did with Rev. Davis. He just needs to do a few interviews and I think he'll have enough background for tackling the bio.
Thus Stefan Grossman wrote me in May last year regarding a proposed RGD biography. At that point Zak was requiring to consult the RGD entries in The Blues Discography and The Gospel Discography, and that's where I came in.
Recently I've been engaged upon scanning some of the more obscure UK reviews/interviews/news items as listed in the RGD entry of Robert Ford's Blues Bibliography, and I think he's now obtained copies of all those references.
