We had a article in our newspaper last week about BWJ. He died here.
The lady in charge of the Blanchette cemetery, in the "Pear Orchard" where he is buried says he was buried in an unmarked grave in a section left for those who couldn't pay, so there is no way to know from cemetery records where he is. The section is marked out though, so you can maybe get within 50 to 100 feet. Isn't that close enough?
There will maybe be a memorial there soon.

Blind Willie Johnson has a song on the Voyager One space craft, and yet he is buried in an unmarked pauper's grave.  How sadly ironic is that? 

I found Mance Lipscomb's grave in Navasota, TX a few years ago.  Mance has a nice marble gravestone with a picture on it.  However, nearly all of the gravestones in the black section of the cemetery were made of concrete.  Weather has been eroding the letters and numbers off of these concrete stones, and many of them are already illegible.  The sad fact is that many of the "marked" grave sites are becoming "unmarked" as the weather literally washes away their names.
