Topic: The Little Brothers in Sighisoara, Romania - 24-26 Feb 2011

Really! - we're confirmed for the Sighisoara Blues Festival in Sighisoara Romania on February 24th, 2011  (the current website displays the 2010 lineup).  We got the offer earlier this year, and at first I thought it couldn't possibly be serious.  It took a while to work out the details...  I had to write my first contract & technical rider, but the three of us (Kim, Mike and me) will be traveling to Romania next February to perform.

The festival runs from the 24th to the 26th, and we'll be there for the duration of the festival - a performance on the 24th and a workshop on the 25th or 26th - the actual date and time for that hasn't been worked out yet.  That being said, I wonder of there are weenies out there who could suggest other performance opportunities in Romania, Italy, or countries in-between...  Austria, maybe?  I know it's a longshot, but if we can get offered a festival gig in Romania, then ANYTHING must be possible!

I need to get a travel itinerary together within the next couple of weeks, so any additional gigs need to be identified by the end of next week (5-November). You can PM me here or send a note to frankie <at> donegone <dot> net.

Thanks, everybody - for the tips & encouragement!  It's a big (huge, really) deal for us, and not without its share of complicated logistics...  there's no doubt this would have been a lot easier when I was in my 20s and my job was basically disposable!

I wish we could get out to the UK and Belgium...  might have to wait until next time...
