Does anyone know anything about Dave Dickerson?  I stumbled across 24 of his songs on the Digital Library of Appalachia  and was pretty impressed.  A lot of it sounds derivative of songs recorded by more well known Piedmont artists, but if his birth date of 1913  is correct that would have put him right in the thick of it all.  I particularly enjoyed his covers of "Last Dime Blues" (labeled as "Hard Luck Blues") and "Key to the Highway."

FWIW one track by him appeared on a Flyright compilation of mid-70s recordings entitled Another Man Done Gone (see Stefan's Flyright page). This one item was recorded in Blacksburg, Va in 1967 by concert organiser Roddy Moore. The LP notes give Dickerson's birth place as Tip Top, Tazewell Co., Virginia on 4 May 1913.
