I think you may have figured it out, Frank.  It looks like maybe Apple users are the ones affected.

I think you may have figured it out, Frank.  It looks like maybe Apple users are the ones affected.

When I use the link from the browser address bar, I get the device support message...  gonna leave the "https://" alone for illustration purposes:

address bar youtube URL:
"Share" tab youtube URL:

note the difference in the way the URL is constructed...

Embedding the same and removing the offending "s" that the SMF plugin seems to dislike so much...

Address bar:

"Share" tab:

I think youtube only wants to support embedding based on the URL construct defined in the "Share" tab, so grab the URL from there, THEN remove the "s" and presto...  embedded video.

I'm not on a Mac, PC using Windows 7. So it's not an Apple OS issue. I can duplicate the error and fix in Frank's test.

Well done, unclebud. A gold star for you.

If we could get a Mac enabled weenie to reproduce the error and fix, that would be great.  Here's a little screenshot splaining where to grab the correct (Share tab) and incorrect (Address bar) URLs from.
