Nope, seems I don't know what I'm doing, I am sure it's easier to do the second time but gotta get that video of Salty Dog up sooner or later.

The forum software generally takes care of the embedding, but if you copy the link from the browser address window, sometimes youtube uses https: (secure http) and the forum software doesn't seem to embed that. Your best bet is to click on the Share tab below the video and copy the link from there.  See the attached pic.
