Rory Block

I saw Rory Block last night in Fallon, Nevada, of all places.  It was a great concert, complete with plenty of delta blues, a few of her own compositions that were quite moving.  She invited a couple of locals on stage to sing and play harmonica.  The local singer was a 10 year old girl who did a a duet with Rory of Son House's Don't Mind people Grinning in Your Face, and they brought down the house.  Also some good stories about meeting Son House and others.  Had a brief chat with Rory after the show.  Great stuff.

It would be great to get her for the Port Townsend Blues Festival one year, maybe even on the vocal faculty.

I totally agree about getting her for the PTCBW. However, I have tried to get through her Mgmt. and it's diffucult. Eventually, I will. with Peter's blessing (I hope).
