Bukka White - John Quincy Wolf recordings
« on: March 21, 2017, 10:12:01 AM »
Hi all,
Not sure if this has been shared here before, a quick search made it seem that it had not so I thought I'd share. I just stumbled on the below site containing recordings made by folklorist John Quincy Wolf Jr. including some with Bukka White including discussions and songs (he recorded other blues players but those unfortunatley don't seem to have been added to the site). The recording quality isn't great but thought I'd share. http://web.lyon.edu/wolfcollection/blues.htm. The site places the rough recording year to 1970 or 71.

There's also a large amount of recordings of other genres including Sacred Harp and Ozark Folksongs. Seems like a site worth spending some time with. http://web.lyon.edu/wolfcollection/
