Benefit for Johnny Dickinson
« on: June 12, 2012, 03:59:11 AM »
British slide-guitarist, Johnny Dickinson, is currently in hospital suffering from an extremely serious condition. Various guitarists have put together a benefit album to download which only costs ?5. Johnny has a wife and four kids, so please consider supporting the family of this musician.

I got mine! An exceptionally good and varied album by some of the world's top players, and for an extremely worthwhile cause.

Hi - I'll have one but have never downloaded before - is there a "conventional" CD available?

Sadly not, Mike. I'm not one for downloads (being a vinyl man really), but I managed it and burned the tracks onto a CD. Unless I'm being a bit thick, it appeared you had to download the tracks one at a time, rather than all in one go. Still, as I say, I completed the task.

As I see it, the main thing of course is to support the cause and the music provided is a bonus.

Probably a dumb question, but where to they get downloaded to? I know its my pc, but there are all sorts of folders and files which still cause me a problem to find - do they get automatically put "somewhere"?

Usually they get dumped either in "Music" or more likely in "Downloads" under My Documents.  Though it depends on your system etc and the files downloaded...
