Euroweenie 2014

Planning time again for next year's event. Richard will begin his hotel checking shortly so an expression of interest at this stage would be helpful. Also, any firm suggestions for alternative venues are welcome, but Fawlty Towers does seem to work quite well.

Oh no .. not again.... I will do my best

The venue is very good in my opinion, would like to try somewhere else one day for comparative purposes but not overly fussed and have no real alternative suggestion.

The only thing that I do object to is Basil Fawlty watching over me like I am a naughty five year old when handing out a few snacks and drinks when his bar is so poorly stocked/staffed.

Date will, as usual be around Easter subject to hotel availability, but as late as we can in the hope of less rain. No doubt the Great Panjundrum will let us know of his dealings with the hotel in due course, but now is the time to flag up dates that may be impossible for you (e.g.: attending your own funeral  ;D)

Well, I suppose you'd better count me in. Somebody has to take the photographs...

Hello boys and girls....  :)

First I must really apologise for my absence of late and confirm I am not entirely dead as may have been assumed. Suffice it to say I have had a whole heap, pile, bucket, lorryload of sh*t come my way after moving back from Guernsey which has made life very difficult and for a while rather fornicated my usual happy demeanor -  as a consequence I haven't been very active here on good old weenie.

However, I am at last on the up, that young Blueshome poked me with his cattleprong today (never heard it called that before) and so I have fixed up at the usual glorious, tired English Country Hotel way down yonder in the New Forest for us to gather and do whatever it is that we do.

The dates ...... arrive Friday 11 April and leave Sunday 13 April 2014.

I have yet to email the hotel and confirm the rates, but imagaine they will be similar to last year, so please watch this space and dream of those fabulous meals... :P

That's about it really, I'll be back with the rates and full hotel contact details once I get them confirmed..
(That's enough of that. Ed)

Re: Euroweenie 2014 ROOM RATES
« Reply #14 on: November 13, 2013, 11:07:47 AM »
Thanks for the "welcome backs" really nice,  you'll have me crying in a minute, it's been a bit tough so stuff the past and back to the present!

There are intially ten rooms put aside so let's fill 'em up and then ask for more...  now, the hotel has replied and the rates are as  -

Quote
The price of these rooms will be ?90 per day for Single occupancy and ?140.00 for two guests sharing. These rates include Bed, Breakfast and Table d?hote Dinner.

So get booking!  The South Lawns Hotel, Lymington Rd, Milford-on-Sea.   01590 643911 and mention the blues thing to confirm that room rate.

Maybe put a note on this thread so I can keep a rough check on things
