Yes, it's true 'we' are going to do it again and with a little forward planning have just finished updating the website, so please take a look and get those sea-view hotel room bookings rolling in 

It may seem a little early to be pushing this event but I have to sort the hotel, put a hold on some rooms and make sure we can have the function room before it gets booked for a wedding...! The other point is, in these days of internet travel bookings the earlier you book your flights the cheaper they are likely to be

As for the event itself, I think the format will be much the same as last April and for those of you that came over I would like to see you all here again... and, if you have any (polite) suggestions or ideas please, please do let me know.

Naturally, I will keep pushing this  and would ask that if you do decide to book, would you please let me know
so I can keep a vague check on what's happening!

Finally................ I know it's a long way from the US, but if anybody felt the call we would be more than delighted to see you, just as Waxy made the trip last time.

And yes, not that I have been, but I understand that Portsend has become what you might describe as the US version, although it's on a slightly bigger scale

I will try to get there- much will depend on the willingness of Mrs Slim to allow me to go off gallavanting around the channel islands with a guitar, when I'm supposed to be helping her look after what will by then be a four month old bundle of noise, sick and fun!

However- I have provisional permission- so it looks hopeful.

Now then NS, you have no choice  you must lay down the ground rules that musac and going off to play with weenies comes first Although speaking from experience, my kids never slept from week two onwards and with permanent knackerness setting in my giging rapidly went from four nights a week to zero.... so if you have her permission now, get that weekend pass in writing - you'll need it

I'd love to pop over ..I'll have to play it by ear as there have been rumblings by our weekly dance group (4 couples get together once a week to dance some swing) about going to Festival International de Louisiane, the hometown of one of our group, the weekend after -- but who knows, maybe I can steer them all toward Guernsey.
