The last couple of days, I've noticed the Weenie site has been very slow, with some pages taking minutes to load. Don't think it's me, as other sites are working fine.
Perhaps the server needs an additional shovelful of coal?
Any other Weenies experiencing this?

I was on Weeniepedia the other day in Foxfire, and it was quite slow, but good and fast today. No problems with speed on Safari at all. All best, Johnm
Everything's super fast for me since we dumped TWC and went U-verse, we went from a consistent 0.25 Mbps to a consistent 11.5 Mbps, yee haw!
We're paying for 12 Mbps and will gladly settle for 11.5, plus more TV channels than one can shake a stick at, running simultaneously down the same 2 (two) skinny DSL wires as youtube vids running (at the same time) on 2 computers. Modern technology.
Suggest everyone experiencing slowness go to www.speedtest.net and report back after running a speed test against a server location in the southern US (Atlanta GA to be more precise), could be interesting. What I'm saying is it probably is not the weenie host that's the bottleneck.
Attached is a speedtest screenshot after hitting Atlanta, which is not significantly slower than hitting the local Austin or San Antonio servers:

I can run the problem by our host, but need more information. Can you log the time this happens, next time it happens? (he can check his server logs then) I assume you always check that other sites are running at normal speed.
We've got one report from UK and one from Canada, of a drastic slow down, on weenie only, that comes and goes. Well, it is really weird.
We took a look at a traceroute and concluded a router was timing-out somewhere close to where the transatlantic cable terminates south of NYC. O'Muck, could you or Frank get down there and make inquiries?
