When you get up into heaven, when you get up into heaven, you'll find a big stream of molasses and a big lot of flapjacks sitting on each side. And it's a lot of butter on each side and a big knife to cut the butter with. When you get down to the stream of molasses you're going to cut the butter with your knife, you're going to drag the butter through the flapjacks, you're going to drag the flapjacks through the big stream of molasses, you're going to drag them across your mouth and say, "A bow bow bow bow bow..." - Lead Belly, Sermon on Pancakes, 1941
there's this seller "bookmark6" selling some original photographs of blues artists at eBay, some of them I've never seen before ... ... e.g. the following Harry Oster pics of Snooks Eaglin
Worth looking at (Of course I grabbed them and will add them to my discographies asap) !!!
another one: The original photo of Brooks Berry & Scrapper Blackwell c.1960 as used on the front cover of Bluesville BV 1074; photographer: [most likely] Art Rosenbaum
photograph of Sidney Maiden used on the front cover of Bluesville 1035; photographer: Chris Strachwitz
Notice the difference between that sharp dressed gentleman with the not too humble background compared to the shabby windows someone obviously thought more appropriate for the cover of an LP with the title "Trouble An' Blues" (they at least didn't take away his watch)

The late Kenny Goldstein was producing such LPs for Prestige back in those days... must be from his files. Wonder who's selling them? He was a friend and mentor to me.
