Hi all,
I don't think I've seen this shared here yet so thought I'd pass it along. Third Man records recently released 2 volumes of recordings from the 1969 Ann Arbor Blues Festival. There's info here https://thirdmanrecords.com/news/introducing-ann-arbor-blues-festival-1969/ and you can listen on bandcamp at these two links:

Hi all,
I"m really glad the Festival recordings have been released.  I was there, and was surprised to see among the list of performers several that I had forgotten I saw there.  Among the ones I forgot I saw were Arthur Crudup and Fred McDowell.  I sure remember seeing Sleepy John Estes with Yank Rachell, Shirley Griffith and Lightnin' Hopkins, along with some Chicago greats like Otis Rush, Magic Sam and Howlin' Wolf, who rode a mini-bike on to the stage.  Big Bill Hill was a very entertaining emcee.
All best,
Johnm

Magic Sam's live set at Ann Arbor was one of the first blues recordings I heard (Delmark Records), although in poor sound quality.
Magic Sam was one phenomenal singer and player. Still one of my favorite electric blues men.
