Hi all,
Since Ari's lesson dvd on Lonnie Johnson is still in the works (for about 5 years I'm told ) I thought I'd do a little introduction lesson.
My introduction to Lonnie Johnson's playing came with a small article by Bob Bater in the British Guitar Magazine somewhere in the early 80ies. It contained only the tab for the intro of "Away Down in the Alley", but that was enough to get me started. Since then I always enjoyed playing in his style and I'm surprised that so few people play in it as well. I don't think it's that hard, you'll only need a little push to get you through the "signature lick" I guess
Happy pickin',
