McMullen seems to be a very underrated guitarist.  I love his playing.

There's some interesting discussion of McMullen in Bastin's book Red River Blues, pages 115-117. Bruce states that the ARC file card has him listed as MacMullin and in light of this he quips "perhaps it is fitting that we don't don't even know how to spell his name".
