I've always loved the sound of a mandolin in the blues!
Here's some clips showing mandolins from my collection, all with different tones and looks..

Thanks for the fun mandolin tour, John. Is it my eyes, or do those later-model Levins in jam #2 have rather bigger bodies? Or perhaps Lars shrunk.

Haha, yes, he shrinks!! 
But you're right they did build larger mando's later on, Levin's first mandolins were very small with a shorter scale..
The bigger ones have the same size as a Gibson A-style I'd say.

Some Levin's were top-notch instruments!!
