Hot stuff, Mr. OM! You really inject a lot of your personality into the performance. That's what it's all about. Far more important than not making whatever it is you think are mistakes.-G-

Jeers? Again with the self deprecating remarks? Hmm? When I was in grad school and had every role I performed criticized by my comrades (learning from bad criticism was an important lesson, as I'm sure you know), I developed the knack of prefacing the discussion with harsher criticism of my "failed" performance than anyone in the room could possibly come up with. They would spend the session talking me out of my negative attitude. Wasn't until one of my profs called me on it that I actually started getting something out of the sessions. I'm still in touch with the bastard 30 years later.

So, I see you've discovered our Tags.-G- We've cleaned up a few of yours (Caps,  spelling, etc) so they will come up with other threads about the same artists. We kinda take our Tags seriously here so that Weenie can be a real resource for those interested in various aspects of the old blues, including being able to find wonderful new renditions such as yours. If you want to add a Tag for a specific artist in the future you can go to the Tag index by hitting the Tags button at the top of any Forum page and copy the artist's name from the list. Ah, like sliding into a unison with the next string. Well, it's a communal effort kinda thing so I know we can count on a fellow old Lefty like yourself. As to the more, uh, impressionistic Tags, how could someone as expressive as you resist yet a new medium, eh? Who knows, you could start a trend in "theme" tags for postings on the Back Porch and here in the Performance Corner.

Keep up the great playing and maybe post some gigs on the calendar so folks in the NYC area can catch your act. I make it out there from time to time, too.

All for now.

Sorry 'bout the tags. I was tui (typing under the affluence of incahol). Point well taken about the self deprecation, defensive posture. I'll attend to it.
Thanks for your good words.

Great stuff. You really do make the music your own. You also sound like you're having a blast. It's a true pleasure.

Mr. O'muck

As always sounds great.  When are you gigging?  Amazing you can still drink.  All my friends from 'the days'  are either sober or dead.

Keep it up o'muck

I can't really drink anymore either. Anything more than a couple of beers makes me sick for days.
I am a strict cyber gigger. I haven't performed in front of live humans for years and have absolutely no desire to do so, unless I was being payed handsomely. I started performing when I was sixteen you see, and played all manner of venues and situations. I played on the streets for years and in the subway. Doing it from the warmth and safety of my living room is right up my alley, and having an audience that is actually acquainted with the music I play is an undreamed of luxury.

So, when can we come over? ;-) You are too good, the stories alone would be worth it.

Great singing and playing!

Very energetic playing. I also enjoyed your Big Bill tune on your MySpace site very much (I've been working on Guitar Shuffle for ages).

Cheers

Pan  :)

Thank's one and all for your generous comments.

Edit: Flashing image deleted.  Mr O'Muck please don't post flashing images on WC, it gives us headaches.  :)

Thanks,

Is there a non-flashing version of the image? I can't remember it flashing, but remember I thought it was beautiful. In fact, I was going to come back and post "What a great graphic!" but now it's gone.
