I have repaired breaks like that at least 100 times, and it's always nerve-wracking at the first stringup. Glad it worked!

Yes, way to go, Laura, you've given us woodworking clods some inspiration. :D Thanks in particular for documenting the job with photos. Good to follow along with the break and the steps to fix it. Maybe I'll take a shot at regluing a bridge on a beater I have.

Also, Gumbo deserves points for "Lettuce hope not.", IMO.  :P
