Blind Willie McTell Article from Jas Obrecht
« on: December 07, 2010, 04:56:47 PM »
Saw this on another site and thought the weenies would like to read it..very interesting stuff on McTell, some info from interviews with his wife.  Some anecdotal information on his 12-strings I'd never read before.
One thing I wondered is Jas mentions that I Got to Cross the River Jordan is played in G capoed up, but I believe it's in vestapol..maybe he saw the Geo Blues Wkshop info here, and just saw the 'G' actual key notation?  ..anyway, I'm a big McTell fan and just soaked it all up .. enjoy reading..Regards, Tom

A wonderful read. Seems like McTell must have been one of the most frequently photographed country blues musicians as well.
