The Memphis Blues Again Vol.1
« on: January 29, 2011, 11:48:16 PM »
The Memphis Blues Vol.1 album on Adelphi Records seems to have some interesting recordings that is not available elsewhere. From Stefan's site:

rec. in Memphis in October, 1969 and at the Peabody Hotel (Memphis) in June, 1970; prod. by Gene Rosenthal; . Artists are Mose Vinson, Nathan Beauregard, Gus Cannon, Furry Lewis and more. Anyone heard this, and was there ever a vol.2? The Adelphi albums seems to be pretty hard to find though.

Sorry, are we looking at the same discography? Volume 2 is shown directly underneath Vol.1

Gene Rosenthal is still active.

Thanks, found this in the Gus Cannon discography where only Vol.1 was listed. I saw now there is an Adelphi discography there as well.
