Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?
« on: March 19, 2016, 08:22:23 AM »
Dear Weenies,

April is the month our hosting bill becomes due and it has been awhile since I?ve solicited donations.  I get an occasional donation, but for the last few years, I?ve mostly been picking up the tab.  The hosting bill is relatively modest ($227 this year), but we keep adding space to the site to accommodate the increasing volume of content.  I?ve recently retired, after 29 years at the same employment (which I still find hard to believe).  I?m now looking to lower my overhead.

We try to keep Weeniecampbell.com as lean and mean as possible, because one day, when us old geezers are ready to throw in the towel, we?d like it it be easy to pass the site on to someone else.  There are cheaper hosts, be we have found our host to be fast, reliable and with excellent support.  So, not so lean and mean, as to sacrifice quality.  Next year Weeniecampbell will celebrate 20 years and we want Weeniecampbell to be around for decades to come.

If we can get 20 or 30 people chipping in $5 or $10? we?ll have it made in the shade for another year.  weeniecampbell@weeniecampbell.com at PayPal.  Or other means on the Support Weenie page.

Mucho Thanks!

I've only used my PayPal account once and that was created years ago to make a derisory 10GBP payment to Weenie in answer to a similar plea.

Once I've mastered how to make a recurring annual weenie donation expect 25GBP per annum.

Keep on keeping on.
