Topic: Document Religious and Vocal discs

Does anyone have any favorites or recommendations from among Document's religious and vocal groups discs? There are a number of them that are on sale, and I am mostly in the dark when choosing from among these recordings. I'm interested mainly in the religious recordings this time but the vocal group stuff can be very interesting too in providing early examples of tunes and lyrics done by the musicians that make up my more typical listening.

Any tips most welcome!

For acappella Negro Religious Field Recordings 1934 - 1942 is a definite

I would say the Guitar Evangelists 1928 - 1951, Arizona Dranes 1926-29 and Country Gospel 1946-1953 with Sister OM Terrell's sides are essential too

Thanks fellers. I did pick up several of the discs suggested that I did not yet have, including the Guitar Evangelists, Negro Religious Field Recordings, Utah Smith, the Earliest Negro Vocal Quartets, and Edward Clayborn. Lots of interesting listening.
