AUG 5 2012) Part ONE Thanks for posting that, Randy. Very interesting, and timely given that we've just been discussing Hayes McMullan here. I look forward to further installments.

Those are two beautiful performances. McMullen has a very pleasing voice and sings and plays with a nice unhurried groove. Thanks for posting them.

Randy, thanks for posting all these great videos of your interview material and songs from Hayes McMullan. You can tell that he really loved those two signature licks that we learned for "Looka Here Woman," they appear regularly in his other songs. Mr. Wardlow mentioned as one of his projects (I'll bet he has dozens in various stages) cleaning up the tapes from the McMullan session. From what I can tell from the vids you posted, it shouldn't be too hard to clean them up. We had someone post two Charlie Patton tunes that he cleaned up with remarkable results (unfortunately, they had to be taken down from the site where he posted them). There's a lot of great software that's available to hobbyists like us for those who can't afford super high-tech studio time. Lindy A White Man Chasin the Blues INDEX-

(The Gayle Dean Wardlow Interviews AUG 5 2012) Record Collecting Beginnings Randy, it's not necessary to post the same message and video in different topics (I removed the duplicate) - people will find it as most of us use the "Recent Unread Topics" link (which picks up individual posts).
Thanks, slack Thanks again, Randy. And thanks Gayle Dean for finding those records! Here's hoping that part 3 takes up the Ishmon Bracey story...
