Please help me to identify this song
« on: August 11, 2014, 10:46:16 AM »
Hello guys,
can you please help me to identify this song?

I tried to look for "It's so good" but I haven't found anything.
Also I tried to look for the pieces of the lyrics which I can catch but with no success.
I emailed to the band but they haven't  responded.
Please do you guys know this song?

Thank you, Josef

The street band's song is "It Is So Good Pt 1" by Charlie McCoy (1930). It and Part 2 are reissued on RST Blues Documents BDCD-6018. They were made a bit over a year after McCoy recorded "It Is No Good Pts 1 & 2" (also on BDCD-6018). A month after "It Is So Good" he was back in the studio with the Mississippi Blacksnakes to do "It Still Ain't No Good (New It Ain't No Good)" (BDCD-6013). All are the same tune with different lyrics and some accompaniment modification.  Another later (1936) version, sans McCoy, is by Robert Hill (on Document DOCD-5678). Oh, and there's Walter Taylor's "It Ain't No Good", from 1930 (on DOCD-5641).
