I saw Johnny Shines with Robert Lockwood in London many years ago - a two night stint. At the end of the second night, some fool in the audience shouts, "Johnny Shines, you are a sexist!" Shines says, "What?" Guy repeats it. Shines says, "Texas? I don't know nothing about Texas." Collapse of interlocutor - Johnny Shines, by Chris Smith on prewarblues list, Bunker Hill, also present, dates it Sunday 28th October 1979

Hi coco,
Welcome to Weenie Campbell!  You're right, the wrong lyric was entered in Weeniepedia for the Texas Alexander song, "I Am Calling Blues".  The right lyric is in the original lyric thread.  It was Eddie Lang backing Texas Alexander on "I Am Calling Blues", though, not Lonnie Johnson.  Thanks for pointing out the mistake.  The correction will be made.  I will also move your post over to the Weeniepedia thread.
All best,
Johnm
