http://www.amazon.com/Long-Lost-Blues-1850-1920-American/dp/0252076761/ref=pd_sim_sbs_b_7 I ordered this last week and have been waiting for it to arrive. Unfortunately, Amazon have opted to send this one by a private courier service (HDNL). Their track record for successful deliveries is zero, so I expect I'll be waiting quite a while.
I merged two topics on this book, which thanks to Bunker Hill's post we just learned won a Certificate of Merit (which I assume means runner-up) in the 2011 ARSC Awards for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research.
Anyone read it yet? Hi Andrew:
I checked it out of the UW library a while ago and looked through it, but haven't actually read it yet. It looks interesting, but not compelling to the point where it has leapfrogged ahead of the large stack of books that are waiting to be read. One of these days... Sorry for the delay.
This book is excellent and almost unbelievably informative. The writer's style draws you in. It was an eye-opener for me anyway. Buy it, borrow it, steal it, but ,make sure you read it. Pages: [1] Go Up
