Topic: When the Levee Breaks: mislabelled song on JSP collection

Hey everyone,

I was just listening to the JSP boxset "When the Levee Breaks: Mississippi Blues Rare Cuts," and absolutely fell in love with track 23 on CD D, which is almost certainly not Good Boy Blues by Arthur Petties, as JSP says it is.

Does anyone know what the song actually is? It's sung largely in falsetto and the lyrics are:

If you use the search at the top Brad & punch in the song title & etc you'll probably find the JSP thread where we talked about it but this is Sunny Southern Blues by Big Road Webster Taylor. I actually play this song!

I agree Brad, isn't it an odd, pretty song?

I searched for 'Sunny Southern Blues' & that found another thread where I answered this for someone else, ha! It looks like the JSP thread is still there too if you want to check it out but I don't think there'd be any more info. Webster Taylor only has one other song or something like that
