When they took me to the studio first - that was Joe McCoy and Mayo Williams - they let me wait about for hours because the studio wasn't free. New Old Brandy Snifter CD Set
« on: January 28, 2012, 02:32:02 PM »
For any old-time stringband fans out there: we've just published a 2-CD set of some of our home recordings from the 1960s - 1980s, titled "Practice Night With Uncle Willie & the Brandy Snifters." For a song list, a link to online notes (complete with lyrics!), and shameless promotion to get you to send to me for a copy, go to http://www.lizlyle.lofgrens.org/BrnSnift/BrandySnifterHome.html .

PS: If you don't want to buy our CDs, you might be interested in looking at photos, or listening to some audio by Mississippi John Hurt, Rev. Gary Davis, and Elizabeth Cotten, plus a lot of other super-interesting (at least to me) material at the same site. No obligation to purchase, other than, of course, a moral one. And, to update the old saying, collecting on a moral obligation plus $2.50 will buy you a cup of coffee in a restaurant.
