Sausage Grinder at Portland Old-Time Gathering, Jan. 17
« on: January 08, 2014, 08:41:56 PM »
Sausage Grinder is very excited to be traveling to Portland, Oregon, to be part of the Portland Old-Time Gathering. The festival runs from January 15 to 19 and features all kinds of jamming, concerts, dancing, parties and more.

We?re playing Friday night, January 17, starting at 8 p.m. at a concert at the Scottish Rite Center, followed by Alice Gerrard with Tom and Patrick Sauber and a reunion of the Dickel Brothers. A square dance follows at 10:30.

If any Weenies are going to the festival, please come and say hi; it's always nice to meet folks for real!

Cool.  Looking forward to seeing you guys!  I'm playing at the kick off party with a honky tonk band The Country Hamms.  So excited about the Dickel Bros reunion too!  They were one of my favorites back when.

  Mike, another stairway jam?

DEVIN!  I was delighted to see your smilin' face on the "performers" page a few minutes ago...  I'd love to pick with ya whenever, wherever buddy!  Maybe I'll actually bring a guitar this year...  This is gonna be a good 'un!

See you there, Eric and I are playing Thurs. night, not part of the POTG, a Cajun dance with Foghorn at the Alberta Street Pub.  I think Matt Kinney is opening.  We'll be around POTG on Friday and Saturday, but no official performance at POTG this year.

I guess they must be trying to get the Sausage Grinder tour bus started right about now...

I think it's the Sausage Grinder Streamline. Gotta be a fun train ride!
