hi folks
im in vietnam and here you can get a guitar custom made for 1 or 2 hundred bucks.
i wanted to get a parlor sized mahogany built. maybe something like the martin 1 - 17
i have wanted this guitar ever since i heard this:

i realize that the built guitar will not sound like this . .
surprisingly i cant find any specs on line
can any one help me with this?
or give me advice about getting a custom built guitar?

yea i dont know the differences between the two but i like the shape of the 1- 18
is the 1- 17 x braced? i wonder what changes to design they would make for a hog.
do you need to buy those plans?

1-17's are x-braced like pretty much all Martin's. 1-17s and 1-18s only differ in materials as far as I know.

I have a Martin 2-17 from 1928 which sounds like a million bucks. Here are it's specs:
12 fret clear/18 frets total
24.5" scale
Nut width 1 25/32, at 12 fret 2 5/16
Upper bout 8.5"
Lower bout 12 1/16
Body depth neck 3 5/8, end 4 1/16
