During those years [Chicago late 30s] there was also a blues singer by the name of Dr Clayton out of Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was very popular and made a lot of records. Danny Boy was his favourite and he could really sing it, but he was more of a blues singer - Oh, Didn't He Ramble: The Life Story of Lee Collins as told to Mary Collins

50 years since the shooting of JFK
« on: October 30, 2013, 02:48:05 PM »
To mark half a century since President Kennedy was shot, I have compiled and produced a special edition of my STAR BLUES radio show. At it's heart is the Pete Welding "Can't Keep From Cryin'" project he put out on Testament and I've drawn from Guido van Rijn's excellent book called "Kennedy's Blues".

Though not all the music on the playlist will fall within the purview of this august gathering, I hope it will be an interesting couple of hours on British commercial radio, starting at 10pm GMT on Sunday 10th Nov from Star107.9/1FM and from www.star107.co.uk

Sundays from 10pm on Star107.9/1FM and streaming live from www.star107.co.uk
