Hi all, I will be playing a concert at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas on Thursday, February 21. The concert will be held at the in Rowntree Auditorium in the Walton Fine Arts Center at the University of the Ozarks, 415 North College Avenue in Clarksville, Arkansas, 72830. Admission is free and the show is open to the public. I'll also be giving a lecture there on Wednesday night, February 20, talking about blues forms and phrasing with examples from recordings. I hope that some of you Weenies who live in that neighborhood can make it to the concert, and if you do and we've not previously met, please say hey. All best, Johnm

Thanks, Frank! The show was a lot of fun, and the people in Clarksville and at University of the Ozarks were really warm and welcoming. I had the pleasure of meeting a long-time Weenie, Rockdale, in person for the first time, which was great. Special thanks to Prof. William Clary, who brought me to University of the Ozarks for the show 37 years after he had brought me to play at the University of Missouri when he was an undergraduate there. It has been a treat to be in Arkansas. All best, Johnm
Glad it was a success John and that Weenie network is great to have out there. I hear the Ozarks are quite beautiful. Did you get a chance to sight see a bit? BTW Do you have a set list? That would be fun to see.

Finally getting the chance to see John play in person and talking with him about music was great. Opportunities to see musicians that are on a level as high as John's don't come along very often around here and he put on a fantastic show for everyone. The Brazilian stuff, I thought, was especially cool.
Also, I'm probably going to steal that joke you told about the airplane maintenance, John.
You're welcome to the aircraft maintenance line, Kenny. It was great to see you and your brother there.
