Amazing Covers

So, Bobby Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe" is an amazing cut.  Pure and acoustic.  If you are an artist, how would you cover it? 

How about pure and electric.  Patty Smyth does an ever more amazing job. Tom Scott is great on sax too!
