Church Bell Blues
« on: January 11, 2007, 08:20:50 AM »
Me again:

Almost done. This is my version of "Church Bell Blues" by Luke Jordan, from 1927. Again recorded on my 2003 Gibson J-100XT. This was the last tune I recorded and I think the guitar was recorded better.

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex

There's some stuttering in the 1st chorus of the mp3, hopefully it's just in the compression, not in the original recording?

You seem just a little hesitant with some rhythms on the guitar part.

If I'm correct this is an undersaddle transducer of some sort? I think I'm detecting a little of that piezo "quack", but overall the sound is surprisingly pleasing.

Again, this song suits your voice very well. You are getting good.

Well done :D
