Man, don't ever take a drink from an open bottle. You don't know what might be in it - Sonny Boy Williamson II, (reportedly) to Robert Johnson Aug 13 1938
I'll be in Great Britain for two weeks starting in mid-Oct., my first overseas vacation ever. I'm anxious to check out what became of my left-behind ancestors in the 180 years since my family left for Canada.
I'd like to get in contact with as many GB Weenies as possible whilst I'm there. I'll post where I'll be in a few days, but if you'd like to meet a tall, incredably good looking Canadian Weenie (no cracks now, Slack and Unkie Bud) and maybe play some tunes, either post here or PM me off list.
My itinerary is to head to Devon-Somerset area for 4 days or so at the beginning of the trip (Oct. 14-18) and train into London from the Gatwick area for the last 4 or so days. I have no concrete plans for the middle 5 days and would love to practise my driving-on-the-wrong-side-of-the-road skills.
Might have a '33 L-00 with me.... Again, I'd love to get together.
Well today I'm in Totness, in south Devon, soaking up the oldness. Off to Chillaton, Lifton, Devon tomorrow, Wells in two days then to Horley near Gatwick. Still time if any of you are interested. Last week, Blues in Bath!
I don't believe it! We just had a holiday down there a couple of weeks ago in a hamlet called "Quither" outside Chillaton. Good basic pub grub in the Chichester Arms. Good fish & chips in Tavistock as well.
And while I'm on here, Alex, how come you haven't accepted my offer of friendship on Facebook yet??
Have a great time.

And what's the fascination with the west country then, is there family connection or something? You could have appeared at my gig in Bristle last week.. there's always next year!
