I made my first banjo out of a guitar neck and a tin can mama used to make biscuits in. And the first thing I learnt on that was Old John Booker - You Call That Gone. - Gus Cannon, Broadcasting the Blues, Document Records

Excellent, Graham.

And at the mention of booking in, who haven't we heard from?

Well, you guys dithered so long about the date and venue  >:D   that I accepted a gig booking for that week-end... but I'll be there in spirit.

That'll leave a hole in our souls. We'll miss all those shiny guitars too.

Personally I don't think so, but then I'm only the one that puts it together and there are still a mere three and a half months left to go  :)

Richard, no criticism intended, you do a fantastic job! And I was really looking forward to seeing that square-neck style 0; it's just that sometimes things just don't work out... and I can't help being in such great demand so far ahead  ;)

I was talking to JC Grimshaw this morning and I'm afraid they have gigs at Euroweenie time, so won't be able to attend. :( It's all down to you then, Richard...  ;D

After due consideration and discussion with His Luminosity Richard, we now have a programme for Euroweenie2011.
This is, of course, subject to last minute alteration at the whim of the organisers.

Friday April 1st:
Afternoon - meet & greet from 1400h.  Drinks
1900h Dinner.
2015 Lucky dip draw then everybody play till midnight. More drinks

Saturday:
1030h Professor Scratchy workshop (subject to fitness, not just the Prof's))
1200-1330h lunch (Off-site) Probably with drinks.
1330h Quiz
1430h Play a Big Bill piece of your choice (minimum 3 verses or choruses) Scratchy's revenge! Followed by tea/fag break.
1600h Lucky dip rehearsals.
1900h Dinner.
2015h Lucky dip performances then play till midnight.

Sunday:
For those that wish, post-breakfast New Forest drive and short walk.

In addition there will be a couple of quite arbitrary awards for undisclosed items/performances. Substantial prizes may/may not be awarded or forfeits demanded.

The 2011 Programme sounds good! I presume the "lucky dip" is to decide who gets to play with The Lovely Samantha? (She told me she is polishing both her nut and her saddle in anticipation.)

I look forward to seeing you all.

Excellent news Bob and also that Phil has produced the prototype program.

I was going to offer to do a beginners lap class if anybody was mad\keen enough to want to have a go, so if you do want to try let me know and I'll put together something on the lines of my amazing video lessons  :-X
