Yea, really gald to see this is coming together for a second year! And I also wish I could join you this year. Among several complication's is that a group of us are going to Lafayette, LA for the International Music festival the next weekend (24th-27th), a trip planned for some time.

However! I hope to make it up. I've been talking to my Slackabilly group and we want to come sometime in 2009 and play. We need a world tour.

Slack, be delighted to see you as I do like rocakbilly which I imagine is somehow related to Slackabilly..

So let's keep pushing this years event and if that works, this could well be a fixture on the musical callendar

in which case come 2009 you'd be on - but, I'd want a sit in though on drums of course

Now we are into Febuary I was hoping to persuade those of you who who might be contemplating coming over for the weekend extravaganza to book flights while they are still cheap(er) and also to book the hotel, especially as they have given me nudge.... and I do not really want to enter into panic mode with the remaining unbooked rooms

Andrew is an accountant- and living abroad now... Its been mentioned to him but I think its rather unlikely

I believe he has a pass for bluesweek- and is looking at Bracknell (not least because he used to live there- so presumably has some convenient acommodation / people to visit).

**** Confirmation of dates - 11-12 April 2008****

It seems there is some confusion as to the date of the great event, the hotel saying one thing and those who have booked telling me another!!!!

However, I have today been to the hotel and can confirm positively that it is booked for the weekend of 11-12-13 April which I hope coincides with the dates used by those who have booked thus far!

Should you find any referneces to the 18-19 April they are incorrect.

It's only a few weeks now and I'm importuning for a few more weenies up to come over........... think of the sun, sea, sand and no VAT!

Also, the hotel has been spending what looks like billions on a bit of a refit so give it a try!
