A nice article about Lauren:

Very good article, I agree, and a nice shot of Lauren. I don't think I mentioned this before but I was amazed last year at how far her playing had come since I first met her in '97. At that time she was pretty quiet and I think I only heard her play once, backing up her daughter at the participant's concert.
Lauren's a really solid picker and performer now, has that funky country blues fingerpicking thing really happening. She seemed more extrovert about it which is great to see and I guess helps if you play out a lot, though I'm not sure if that's cause or effect.

It helps, I think it is a very good motivator.
I agree, Lauren has worked hard and it shows. I've been very impressed by her "living room play" at PT. (Hmm, I wonder if it is to late for me to change careers. :D )
Also, I need to credit Frontpage for finding the article.

I'd never heard of the dear lady and I couldn't understand how the photo could be of an 81 year old. Then I realised she must have graduated in '81...

She certainly has aged well! :)
