Just looked at my confirmation letter from the hotel and I see it mentions the special price includes VAT @ the old rate of 17.5% - so watch out for a potential price hike.

It's all right for you landed gentry, but we serfs have to save up for these big events. Blueshome may have to do another night stacking shelves in his local supermarket to cover the VAT increase. I may have to muck out the horses of the lord of the manor...

I don't mind remaining as the gentry, but I had to sell the land for the supermarket to pay for last National. However Phil does work there in stocking the shelves - actually he's in he music department with the banjos and ukes
Just heard from Dennis Rigg, who has now returned from abroad and he's confirmed he's planing to join us. He won't need accommodation at the hotel because he lives very nearby. He will join us for dinner both nights. So we'll have an extra harp player.
Back at Blueshome Villas after a great weekend with the euroweenies.
Many thanks to Richard for doing the leg work again, and to him and Prof.Scratchy for their workshops, and to the rest of attendees for making it a great event. Even the hotel was better. Roll on next time.
We now await a note from our roving reporter, Mr.Parlor Picker, with a review of the proceedings.
