Lwoods post reminded me that Peter is looking for Weenies and other folks to sign up to be Blues Buddies at PT this year. I guess Walker used to set things up, but he hasn't been coming for the last couple years.
All a Blues Buddy needs to do is answer questions for newcomers after the teacher demo Sunday night, just kinda encourage folks to get to the classes that might work for them. You don't really need to be familiar with every teacher as one of the other Buddies will be. You will also get a blue ribbon to wear on your tag to indicate that folks can ask you questions during the week.
It's a great way to give a little back and you get a great feeling putting an uptight first timer at ease. It'll remind you of your own first year at PT.
Either post your name here and I'll pass it on to Peter, or PM me (by going to my profile) or you can email Peter directly at peter@centrum.org
Can't wait to see you all there, and I hope some of you folks who I only know by your logon will introduce yourself to me this year.
All for now. John C.

For those who may be wondering about it, being a blues buddy is a simple task that involves answering a few questions, mostly in the first day or two. After that, participants have discovered the lay of the land and the workshop pretty much takes care of itself. Your ribbon simply identifies you as someone who can provide some answers or direct a participant to someone who can.
After orientation on Sunday night, let's have all of the blues buddies meet with the folks who want one - right out in front of the theater. That'll work, no?
