Today when I signed on, the random quote came up as "I've seen better days, but I'm putting up with these," credited to "Times Ain't Like They Used To Be." I've only heard the line in Brown's "James Alley Blues." Did he record the same line on another disc?

Nope, it's an error in the quote oracle that needs fixing. It was also immortalized incorrectly on the Weenie Mug, making it even more collectible.

Despite the proper/correct source attribution (probably a mistake of mine years ago when Rivers and I started quote compliation), I really like this particular lyric. Most days, I more-or-less identify with it! Gotta get me one of those mugs before the Blues Police make us redo the artwork.

Thanks. The natural thing then was to check Stefan Wirz's discography on Brown, and "Great Northern Blues" is listed there as a unissued Victor recording.
