When you go down on Deep Ellum, keep your carburator clean, 'cause the women on Deep Ellum sell you dirty gasoline - Bill Neely, Deep Ellum Blues documentary
Hello to all, I never checked out Tampa Reds single string melodic bottleneck style so I'm looking to download a couple of songs. Any recommendation? Thanks
Ron

Hi all, I think my favorite Tampa Red playing might be on "House Rent Scuffle", where he and the great pianist Charles Avery back Lil Johnson. The time that Avery and Red generate on that tune is "die happy" stuff. it can be found on the Yazoo piano anthology, "Shake Your Wicked Knees", Yazoo 2035, a review of which can be found at: http://weeniecampbell.com/yabbse/index.php?amp;Itemid=60&topic=2189.0 All best, Johnm
Ooh, that's a good one, just listened to it. I have it on Document's Tampa Vol. 2. I like it when these threads tease out a song I hadn't paid attention to before.
