At this stage I'm getting the calendar for the calendar itself (love those images), but probably as much for the great remastering! According to the website, they use the same process as for the "American Epic" remasters, and those truly sound "epic". These tracks become my "reference library" of the best possible sound for most of the recordings.

I'm one of the guys that does not mind hiss and crackles, and is totally against the auto-processed-to-death-stuff from the 90s, but loves the "best possible and painstakingly restored" sound that we first got with the Robert Johnson Centennial Collection and now with some of the more recent releases.

I still wish someone would treat the entire Son House Catalogue (especially the 1941-42 Lomax recordings) to this process, I'm sure there's a lot that can be improved compared to the commercial releases out there.

John is talking about expanding into putting out more CDs of music. He mentioned a desire to redo what Document have done and go for a complete reissue series but I think that's impossible considering the costs of his remastering process and the actual interest. He should look at what he has and what the market needs. And I think really nice complete sets of selected artists would be the way to go. Like you said DerZ, complete House from 1930-1942 . . . & John also has original artwork, a photo of House from the 1930s that he hasn't shared yet and he probably owns all the 1930 Paramounts in the best shape there is.
Also, he has all the Tommy Johnsons. There is no actual complete TJ set out there.
He has those King Solomon Hills, he just got one of the missing William Harris' . . . wow, he could put out some very essential sets.
