It was just before I went into the army about 40, 42 I think, I heard of a guy called T-Bone Walker and that was the first electric guitar I'd ever heard... and I went crazy, I went completely nutty... I think that he had the clearest touch of anybody I'd ever heard on guitar then - B.B King on T-Bone Walker, from Giles Oakley's The Devil's Music, BBC

James Clem USA bluesman- UK and Euro gigs in September
« on: August 31, 2016, 11:13:22 PM »
Hi friends, Here are some upcoming gigs as I am playing a few in the UK, Belgium, France and Holland. Check out my website if you are not familiar with my music. I recently recorded two new CD's and you can hear sample tracks on the website. More gig details on the website as well. It would be nice to meet some fellow blues fans so come on out!
September 4. Belvedere Inn, Weymouth, Dorset with Big Al Whittle opening.
September 10. Bossanyi Studio, London (sorry, sold out).
September 11. London Acoustic Show. I will be playing and hanging out at the Diamond Bottlenecks space.
September 15. De Gistfabriek, Antwerp, Belgium
September 17. Caf? Ami, Antwerp, Belgium (early show at 16:30).
September 18. Aux Petits Jouers, Paris, France
September 20. Ukulele Masterclass Workshop Amsterdam Uke Club
September 21. Uke Club of Amsterdam. Hotel Boutique View.
Except for the two uke workshops you will hear a mix of slide, ragtime and Americana guitar at the above gigs. The ukulele is in my bag of tricks and I just finished playing a very cool ukulele festival in Ireland.
Hope to see some of you out and about on my trip.
James Clem
