Mr. O'Muck in a rare performance Sat. Jan. 30th at Jalopy
« on: January 26, 2016, 11:26:21 AM »
Yes folks They're taking me out of mothballs once again for a one night only appearance at the fabulous Jalopy Theatre in Glorious Redhook Brooklyn. I'll be sandwiched in-between the elegant and classy Piedmont Bluz and the Crumb-esque antics of the East River String Band, who have now almost become actual Crumb characters.

I'm trying to determine whether or not I should make this my swan song. Who needs the stress, know what I mean? I've been doing this now for 48 years and have recently discovered, much to my chagrin, that I haven't gotten rich yet! But ..NO!...The show MUST go on and I need every last lousy buck I can glom onto!

I am thinking of giving myself another first name however...help me out here...how do you all respond to the name Mothballs O'Muck or Mr. Mothballs O'Muck?

See you at the show yeah?

How about Mac, Phil?  That would have a nice ring to it.  I wish I could make the show.  Will anyone be filming it?  It would be great to see some clips after the fact.
All best,
Johnm

Phil: I'll remind you again of a previous suggestion: "Straight out of the Primal Ooze:  'O'Muckosaurus--The Missing Link In The Evolution Of The Blues'"

It even rhymes--maybe it could be lines of an intro song:

When you see me crawlin' straight out of the Primal Ooze,

Remember that my name is O'Muckosaurus--The Missing Link In The Evolution Of The Blues!!

(or something like that...)

Thanks all , JohnM, no filmer yet my son has sadly turned me down for that job (oh the painful indignity of parenting teen aged children )
As for Mac ...not bad but it might make me feel too much like an Annies Mac and Cheese box. :P

You started it!

What's wrong with Giuseppe Mucchelino? I mean, besides the obvious?  ::)

Post a photoshopped picture of you with Johnny Shines and call yourself RJ O'muck.

Doesn't Heneghan often film stuff at the jalopy? Granted, he's playing but shurely a jalopy-ite can work a camera for his set? Here's hoping we get some O'Muck-o-vision.

Regardless, tear it up, Guiseppe!
