The Rory Gallagher guitar auction was today. As Michael Messer reported on MM forum:  "The hammer went down on the Triolian for £75,000 GBP, plus of course the premium, so total price was £95,650 GBP  ($124,466)

"The Fender Strat was the star item. The hammer went down at £700,000 GBP and with the premium included, the final price comes to £889,400 GBP ($1,157,349)"

The Strat is going back to Ireland. An appropriate return home for a much-loved guitar.
