I was telling a friend of mine the other day about what I think "real" blues or old-time is...  the thing about blues and old-time, when it's properly played, is that you know WELL and CERTAIN that someone has gotten or is GONNA get some.

Both are true of the Hook.

Here's a nice one by Blind Joe Taggart. According to Dixon, Godrich & Rye it was recorded c. October 1928 with probably Joshua White on g/v. I think I'm only hearing one guitar.
